WOMEN’S

Let’s Get Physical
Stripes, bright colors, layered jersey tees, pleated skirts, stretch mesh, platform sneakers, and even accessories like whistles, visors, and knee-high sports socks all compete this “sporty” trend.

Embellished Craft
Use of jewels, studs, beads, and metallic discs was seen heavily on the runway this past spring. This trend will translate into more mainstream brands next spring. Think 80s bedazzled sweaters.

Summer Suit
It’s not your classic suit by any means. After all, the summer is about great prints, short shorts, and fun colors. Bermudas with cuffed hems are a bit more conservative paired with a tailored blazer. One piece overall shorts are also making a comeback and are being paired with silk blouses.

Wide Leg
Whether we are talking balloon shapes or tailored pants, hems are cuffed to keep the look tamed. The fabric here is jersey! Wide leg “trouser” jeans are also hot.

Off the Shoulder
Dresses and blouses just got a bit sexier. Off the shoulder is great in flirty fabrics such as silk blends and jersey knits that look and feel luxurious.

MEN’S

White Pinstripe Blazer
This is the perfect modern complement to a shirt and tie. You can balance the dandiness with jeans and aviator sunglasses. The color gives it a nice summer feel.

Mixing Patterns
Mix bold colors and patterns for a contemporary twist on the classic combination of shirt and tie. It’s youthful and refreshing, especially for the summer months.

Hit the Gym
Men will be sporting checks, athletic stripes, retro sneakers, track jackets, fleece hoodies, sweat bands, and duffle bags come next spring, and we don’t mean only to the gym. It’s the same idea as the women’s sporty look minus the knee highs and skirts.

ACCESSORIES

Cut-It-Out
Cutouts in various shapes—starbursts, hearts, and flowers— are used on handbags, shoes, and jewelry in leather, gold, silver, and plastic materials.

Fringe
Jimi Hendrix wore it, cowboys wear it, and by next spring so will the general public. We see it occasionally on jackets and skirts, but it is huge for accessories like handbags and jewelry.
